The space
Our home is right down the street from Franklin and Marshall College in a perfect location! We are in the well respected “Chestnut Hill” neighborhood, which makes it an easy stroll downtown for some great music or delicious food. Minutes away by car are Amish farmlands, horse and buggies, outlets, fresh produce, Sight and Sound, live music venues, amazing restaurants, Central Market, American Music Theater and Dutch Wonderland. Horse and buggies driven by our beloved Amish are all over Lancaster County and our home offers the best of comfort nestled in the heart of downtown Lancaster on a tree-lined street. Our home is warm and inviting, fully equipped with a game room and a huge spa bathroom. We welcome you!
We have exterior Ring cameras to enhance everyone’s safety. There are no interior cameras.

Other things to note
Our guest rental does have a BBQ grill for guests to use and to enjoy. Please note though that we fill the propane tank in the beginning of the season and then we ask guests to please refill any used propane before their departure. We also ask guests to please scrub and clean the BBQ grill before and after each time that you use it. Prior to departure, once it’s cooled off, kindly put the cover back on it.
We ask this of guests because our cleaning crew is laser focused after each guest leaves to do a thorough and deep cleaning of the entire house and in order to do that they don’t have time for the BBQ grill and to leave the house to get propane since our next guests often arrive that same day. We understand this can be frustrating to fill, although we know guests love to grill, so we hope that everyone works together to make it a great experience.
We thank you in advance for doing this to help us to always provide the very best and cleanest homes to all guests. We are hoping that the guests before you did indeed fill the propane for you. If not, we deeply apologize and if you contact us within two hours on the first day of your arrival and report that the propane is not full for you, we will happily reimburse you $20 if you do get propane and provide us a receipt prior to departure. .

Please remember that no pets, glitter, confetti or parties, as well as no smoking may occur in or around our home. To do so will result in an immediate termination of your reservation without return of money and of course that would never be anything we would ever want. We designed our home specifically for great guests like you to come and enjoy our cabin while still respecting it.
To ensure a safe and pleasant experience for all guests, we kindly ask that you observe the following house rules:
• This is a smoke-free and substance-free space – smoking, vaping, illegal drugs, or disruptive drunken behavior are not permitted. A fee of $200 per night will apply if this rule is broken.
• We love pets, but unfortunately, our property is not pet-friendly due to allergies and for the respect of future guests. A $200 per night fee will apply if pets are brought onto the premises.
• We maintain a high standard of cleanliness. Our cleaning fee is based on respectful and considerate guest behavior. In cases of excessive mess or neglect, an additional cleaning charge may apply.
